The Information Technology (IT) Section is responsible for providing all technical support to the Sheriff’s Office. The primary mission requires continuous real-time data collecting and reporting for all calls for service and archiving historical events, involving computer aided dispatch (CAD), record management systems (RMS), jail management systems (JMS), and many other software systems, which is a 24/7 operation.
 
The IT Section is responsible for maintaining all technological operations, including cell phones, desktop computers, Mobile Computer Terminals (MCT computers in the patrol vehicles), all radio communications equipment, access control systems, video surveillance systems for all Sheriff’s Office facilities, all network connections, involving other government entities, such as the FDLE CJIS network, and all software systems used throughout the agency.
