On July 8th the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office performed an aerial eradication operation in Holmes County. With Jackson County Sheriff’s Office providing the helicopter, 1517 marijuana plants were eradicated from eastern Holmes County. The plants were approximately six feet tall and at maturity are valued at 1.5 million dollars on the street. The Holmes County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol Interdiction Team. Holmes County Sheriff Tim Brown would like to thank Sheriff Roberts of Jackson County for the use of their helicopter and the Florida Highway Patrol for their assistance. Arrests are pending.
